Elaine

After 37+ years teaching pre-school through adults and 20 years of coaching high school and college sports sprinkled in there, she decided a change of scenario was appropriate. Having a CDL to transport athletes for contests, meeting people and experiencing new challenges seemed a great fit for the Fun Bus. As a passenger, she would like to experience motor coach travel to the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Her favorite trip as a driver was transporting a group of FFA students from New Lexington High School to Springfield, MA for a parliamentary procedures competition. When not driving for the Fun Bus, Elaine enjoys golfing, landscaping, pickleball, traveling reading, watching/attending OSU football and men’s/women’s basketball. She has been a loyal Cincinnati reds fan since age five.

Jeff

Prior to employment with the Fun Bus, Jeff worked in car sales — 50 years — from 1968-2018. He and his father owned an automobile dealership for many years. According to Jeff, a great day driving at the Fun Bus is when everybody is cheerful. One of Jeff’s favorite parts about being a Fin bus driver is helping people, particularly the elderly people he transports. His personal motto is “enjoy life.” Given the opportunity the take a Fun Bus trip, Jeff would choose motor coach travel to Niagara Falls. His favorite trips with the Fun Bus include the employee weekend to Michigan and a trip to Oglebay Park during the holidays with the Moose Lodge. Activities Jeff enjoys are bowling (has bee bowling for 50+ years as well), he and his wife riding their Harley, following OSU football and watching old westerns. The public should choose the Fun Bus for their adventures and transportation needs because of the prices and quality of service.

Maureen

Maureen came to the Fun Bus looking for a good local job driving a smaller vehicle than she was used to, that being a tractor trailer. Well, she found one driving a taxi. The pace of driving taxi fits within Maureen’s personality and skill set at the time in her life. She enjoys most of her customers and driving taxi keeps her close to Lancaster. When asked to describe her very best fun Bus day, Maureen responds — “My very best Fun Bus day is probably tomorrow.” — Her face lights up when you ask what she enjoys outside of the Fun Bus — working with her animals — horses, dogs and donkeys. After interacting with Maureen, you will likely leave smiling or laughing because of her witty, sassy sense of humor and her honest, transparent comments. According to Maureen, ” passengers should choose the Fun Bus for their transportation needs because we are affordable and have transportation most people could use. The can relax, enjoy the sights and company of their friends and family. They don’t have to look for parking spaces, pay insurance and maintenance on a car.

Bill

Meet a quiet, reserved individual that wants to do things right and succeed at work. He appreciates his fellow team members and being part of a team. A great day at work is when everything goes right on schedule and people are nice. Bill has a degree in Culinary Arts & Hotel/Restaurant Management. It is no wonder the he spent almost 40 years in the Food Service industry, over 10 of those years being at the Columbus Airport. Being a machine operator at a couple local businesses’ is also part of Bill’s work history. He would like to travel through the countryside in New England enjoying fall foliage. When away from Fun Bus, Bill tries to relax and that is best done by cooking, driving in the country and watching old movies.

SID

Sid is on his second stint with the Fun Bus. He first joined the Fun Bus Team 10+ years ago when the operation located in Junction City. He has a plethora of employment experiences such as business education teacher in the secondary schools, small furniture and upholstery business owner, retail craft shop owner, supervisor with USPS and associate in customer service. Working with the public seems to be a common theme of employment and why Sid joined the Fun Bus. In this position, he can drive a vehicle and interact with people. Sid and his wife would truly enjoy a trip through New England states in the fall to celebrate wedding anniversary. Sid has a personal motto “Kindness goes along way in making life enjoyable”. In his spare time he enjoys being with his wife and family going to events involving his grandchildren and dining out. Sid enjoys tinkering in the yard relaxing in a yard swing with a cool drink and open fire pit. Sid likes playing golf or just watching professional sports especially PBS “Doc Martin.”

Why choose Fun Bus? ” Choosing the Fun Bus is cost effective, safe transportation as well as less stressful than driving yourself. You can relax and enjoy the scenery on the way to your destination,”
