Lancaster, Ohio — 08/16/2021 – The Fun Bus underwent a 3 day safety audit with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) during the first week of August 2021.  These type of audits happen every 3 years. These audits are conducted on behalf of the Federal Department of Transportation through the PUCO.

The Fun Bus/Creative Coach Company received a perfect score on the August 2021 audit. Audits from the PUCO for The Fun Bus/Creative Coach Company include inspections of vehicles and paperwork. Each item on the list for inspection is covered by 2 PUCO officials under very guided methods. 

During the audit, The Fun Bus/Creative Coach Company provided PUCO with documentation on driver files, driver physicals, driver fitness, driver drug test history, driver hours of service, background checks, vehicle/driver logs, vehicle maintenance, vehicle inspections, insurance, and hiring practices. PUCO officials took one of the three days for the audit physically inspecting the 12 vehicles that fall under their jurisdiction. This audit inspection is not the only inspection done on the Fun Bus fleet. The Fun Bus drivers and mechanics complete multiple inspections on The Fun Bus Fleet throughout the week and prior to the vehicles leaving the lot for a trip or event. Not only did the PUCO inspect the Fun Bus Fleet. A week prior to the PUCO audit, the Ohio State Highway Patrol Motor Vehicle Inspection Unit visited The Fun Bus to complete vehicle inspections on the 12 vehicles under their jurisdiction. The 12 vehicles in The Fun Bus Fleet passed two inspections within a week of each other.
