Christmas with Fun Bus Adventures: six 2026 holiday adventures and departure dates.

Twinkling lights, horse-drawn carriages, festive shows, and a little time away with your favorite people. The Christmas season is full of reasons to get out and make a memory. For travelers in Central and Southeast Ohio, Fun Bus Adventures makes it easier to enjoy the season while leaving the driving and parking to us.

Looking for Christmas bus trips from Ohio in 2026? These six adventures range from an Ohio day trip to a Smoky Mountain getaway and a Nashville weekend. Some stay close to home, while others take you across state lines for a different holiday experience.

1. New York City: A Big Apple Holiday Escape

November 27–29, 2026

Start the season with the energy of New York City. Browse Fifth Avenue, explore museums, find a cozy lunch spot, or take in Times Square as the city gets dressed for the holidays. This Red-Eye adventure travels overnight, leaving you a day to explore on your own without arranging a hotel stay. Individual attractions, meals, and activities are yours to choose and purchase.

The November 27 date on our graphic is the departure date. You will explore the city on November 28 before the overnight return. Seasonal displays and attraction schedules vary, so check any must-see experience before making plans.

2. Lebanon, Ohio: Carriages, Comfort Food, and Christmas Lights

December 5, 2026

For a Christmas day trip in Ohio, historic Lebanon brings plenty of old-fashioned charm. Watch decorated horse-drawn carriages parade through town, then enjoy a meal at Amber Rose in Dayton. The day continues with the sparkling holiday lights at Clifton Mill, a festive finish filled with nostalgic scenery and photo opportunities.

This is a lovely choice for friends who want a full day of Christmas traditions close to home, with Fun Bus taking care of the driving between stops.

3. Pigeon Forge: A Smoky Mountain Christmas Getaway

December 13–16, 2026

Trade the everyday rush for four days of Southern hospitality and holiday entertainment in Tennessee. This Smoky Mountain getaway includes a drive through Pigeon Forge Winterfest lights, a full day at Dollywood with admission and transportation, and the Country Tonite Christmas Show.

Meals at Mama’s Farmhouse and Puckett’s add comfort-food favorites to the experience. You can also choose between shopping at Tanger Outlets and exploring downtown Gatlinburg, making this an inviting mix of festive shows, shopping, and mountain-town atmosphere.

4. Steubenville, Pittsburgh, Oglebay, and Cambridge: A Day of Holiday Discoveries

December 16, 2026

Enjoy several holiday experiences in one planned day. The Magical Holiday Adventure brings together Steubenville’s Nutcracker Village, lunch at Pittsburgh’s Grand Concourse, an International Rooms Tour at the University of Pittsburgh, Oglebay’s driving light tour, and a festive finish in Cambridge.

From distinctive nutcrackers and grand architecture to glowing evening displays, this route is a great fit for travelers who enjoy variety. It is also the trip to choose from this lineup if Oglebay’s holiday lights are on your wish list.

5. Wheeling: A December Casino and Dinner Outing

December 17, 2026

Make time for a social day away during the busy holiday season. This Wheeling outing visits Wheeling Island Casino and finishes with dinner at Undo’s Italian Buffet in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Enjoy the company, let someone else handle the road, and return home after a full day out.

Guests must be 21 or older. Please note that this December 17 trip is the casino and dinner outing; the Oglebay light tour shown in our seasonal graphic belongs to the December 16 Magical Holiday Adventure above.

6. Nashville: Holiday Sights, Country Music, and Hockey

December 4–6, 2026

Nashville offers a different kind of Christmas weekend, with music, great food, and holiday scenery. A Grand Ole Hockey Weekend includes time at the decorated Opryland Hotel atrium, dinner at Bavarian Bierhaus, an evening at the Grand Ole Opry, and time to explore downtown Broadway.

The ticket package includes the Columbus Blue Jackets versus the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena. An included brunch at Monell’s rounds out the weekend before the ride home. Prefer the Nashville experience without a game ticket? Contact Fun Bus about that option.
